SB-1006 -PRO SERIES FRONT HUB WASHERS

User observations during pre-delivery inspections and/or pre-start inspections of the washers used between the hub and retaining ring on the front casters of Hy-Brid Lifts Pro Series are prematurely wearing.

In an effort to provide the best possible product to our customers, a Washer Upgrade kit, part number 112-21-558- 50-K is available for lifts manufactured prior to May 2022, serial number ranges per model are listed below. Each kit includes the parts required to upgrade one lift.

Custom Equipment recommends all MEWPs within the listed model and serial number ranges be inspected immediately for premature wearing. Signs of premature wear include deformation to the outer washer or retaining ring. MEWPs exhibiting premature wear should not be put into service until they received the Washer Upgrade kit (please call 262-297-5195 with any questions).

Custom Equipment also recommends that all MEWPs within the listed model and serial number ranges that are not exhibiting premature wear also receive the Washer Upgrade kit as quickly as possible to eliminate the potential for premature wear and prolong the life of the MEWP.

During the install of the Washer Upgrade kit (112-21-558-50-K), also inspect the hub assembly for signs of excessive wear.

The labor allocation for this warranty repair is ½ hour per lift.

Per ANSI A92.20 All MEWPs shall be inspected and adjusted to manufacturers requirements by a qualified mechanic prior
to each sale, lease or rental, and every 3 months or 150 hours of work hours, whichever comes first.
