To release the brakes on a Zero-Turn Series machine, you need to have the key switch in the lower controls position and hold the rocker switch down until you hear a click and a steady tone. To re-engage the brakes, push the emergency stop in to recycle the power, pull it out, and the brakes are re-engaged.
